Terms of Service

1. About the Platform

Eroja Mart Limited ("Eroja", "we", "us") operates a digital marketplace that connects customers with local vendors and personal shopping agents across Nigeria. Eroja acts as a facilitator — we are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.

There are three types of users on the platform:

Customers — browse vendors or hire a personal shopping agent
Vendors — list and sell products to customers
Agents — accept requests and shop on behalf of customers

2. Eligibility

To use Eroja you must:

Be at least 18 years old (or 13+ with parental consent for browsing only)
Provide accurate and truthful registration information
Have legal capacity to enter into contracts under Nigerian law

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to:

Not share your login credentials with anyone
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at erojasupport@gmail.com
Accept that we may suspend accounts that violate these Terms

4. For Customers

Ordering

Placing an order creates a purchase agreement with the vendor. Eroja facilitates the transaction but does not guarantee stock availability.

Agent Shopping

When you hire a shopping agent, they shop based on your provided list. You will review and approve the cart before payment is processed. The final price may differ from the initial estimate due to market prices.

Wallet

You may fund your Eroja wallet for faster checkout. Wallet funds are non-transferable. Refunds from cancellations are returned to your wallet balance.

Refunds & Cancellations

You may cancel an order before a vendor accepts it — no issue. Once shopping has begun, cancellations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days back to your wallet.

5. For Vendors

Listings

Only list products you are authorised to sell. Descriptions, photos, and pricing must be accurate. Misleading listings will be removed.

Fulfillment

You are responsible for packaging orders accurately and making them available for pickup within the stated timeframe.

Payouts

Earnings are paid to your registered bank account after order completion, subject to platform service fees. Fee details are shown in your vendor dashboard.

Prohibited Items

You may not list counterfeit goods, illegal substances, or any items prohibited under Nigerian law.

6. For Agents

Acceptance

Once you accept a shopping request, you are committed to fulfilling it accurately based on the customer's list.

Service Fee

Your fee is a platform-set percentage of the cart total, displayed to the customer before they confirm payment.

Conduct

Handle all requests and customer funds professionally and honestly. Fraud, theft, or misconduct will result in immediate removal from the platform and may lead to legal action.

7. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited for all users:

Creating fake accounts or impersonating other users
Manipulating reviews or ratings
Using the platform to facilitate fraud or money laundering
Arranging payments outside the Eroja platform
Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

8. Platform Fees

Service fees are displayed clearly at the point of checkout. We reserve the right to update fee structures with reasonable advance notice to affected users.

9. Limitation of Liability

Eroja's liability in any dispute is capped at the value of the transaction in question. We are not liable for errors made by vendors or agents that are beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through our support process will be referred to the appropriate court in Lagos State.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
